Default A Mesmer's New Ally?

I have to say SoI + Vanguard Assassin Support + Arcane Echo is by far the most fun, and effective way of dealing damage when soloing during things Such as Norn Tournaments. Also in groups it would be great to contain aggro and kill those nasty monks and Fast. I can see alot of fellow mesmers use this in the future

What's your opinion!

Actually That with Ether Nightmare is quite amazing as well.

It's definitively a great combo.
You can use skills like splinter weapon and ancestor's rage on the assassin's also if you are using the combo in explorable areas.
I have not tested it yet, but I believe the Ebon Escape skill can be used to travel through walls if you summon an assassin on an animal behind a wall, then use Escape on the assassin.
The Vanguard skills are quite impressive.

Dunno if its a bug, bu they die instant when they take damage or gain a condition

I have to admit that sometimes that did happen; however, most of the time the assassins took damage till they died.
